The Parliament Member Bahia Hariri received at her office in Majdelyoun a delegation from the Palestinian Association for Human Rights (Witness), which included the Director of the Association Mahmoud Hanafi, the public relations and media coordinator Mohammad Al Shouli and the representative of the Association in Tyre area Mahmoud Dawood.
The delegation thanked madam-Hariri for its humanitarian role to help Palestinian refugees and facilitate their affairs, and her positive role in dealing and  solving different issues and problems  that related to Ein Al Hillweh  and other camps.
The visitor delegation has discussed many of the urgent demands concerning the Palestinian camps and gatherings, which represents:
  • The delay of the permission for entering construction materials to the camps.
  • The complications of obtaining a permission to practice fishing profession for the Palestinian refugees particularly in Tyre area.
  • The position of Minister of Labour Jreissati about the right of Palestinian refugees to obtain work permission.
In turn,  Madam Hariri welcomed the visitor delegation and commended on their  professional work  and emphasizing its role in the follow-up humanitarian issues that  related to refugee affairs , and on the recent events that took place in Ein al-Hilweh, Madam Hariri  pointed about the intention of the Lebanese army leader ships  to ease the  procedures at the entrances  of the camps to facilitate the daily life of  the refugees.
MP Hariri also commended the great efforts that have taken by all Palestinian factions, particularly the Islamic forces and their awareness to deal or face those problems.
The delegation touches a clear understanding by Madam-Hariri about the demands that have been put forward, as well as her permanent support for Palestinian refugees in order to get their human rights.
In conclusion, the delegation presented Madam Hariri a copy of the annual report for 2011, that released by "Witness" on the situation of the Palestinian camps and gatherings in Lebanon.
