The Head of Mission of
the International Committee of Red Cross Meets a Delegation from (Witness) And
Receives a Copy of the Annual Report for 2021
A
delegation from the Palestinian Association for Human Rights (Witness) has met Simone Aeschlimann, the head of mission of the International Committee of Red Cross, in its
office in Beirut on Wednesday 20th April, 2022.
The
delegation of (Witness) which included Dr. Mahmoud El Hanafi, the director of
the association, and Hasan Al Saydeh, the human rights researcher, was received,
in addition to the Head of Mission, by the Deputy Head of Mission, Mrs. Basma
Tabaja, as well as her Deputy and Head of Operations, Mr. Kelnor panglung. The
delegation presented the main abstracts and recommendations of the annual
report of 2021.
The
two parties discussed the latest updates of the Palestinian occupied
territories (occupied Jerusalem and administrative detainees strike), the ways
to respect the International Humanitarian Law, and the adverse influence of the
Lebanese economic crisis on the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
Finally,
the head of mission received the Annual Report for 2021.
