Visit the Malaysian Embassy in Lebanon
The First secretary at the Malaysian Embassy in Beirut Mr. Nor Azman Taib, accompanied by the Researcher officer at the embassy Mervat El-Sibai, received a delegation from the Palestinian Association for Human Rights "Witness", which included the public relation and media coordinator and Mohammed al-Shouli, and responsible of the development resources Mustafa Younes.
The visiting delegation Had presented for the delegation of the Malaysian Embassy a comprehensive explanation about the reality and the rights of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and the difficult circumstances in which they live, especially, the overcrowding in the camps with their limited areas and the problems of misery, poverty and unemployment, as well as deprivation of their civil, social and economic rights by the host country, Lebanon.
The First Secretary at the Malaysian Embassy was confirmed that the Malaysian people are standing and supporting the cause of the Palestinian people, and their right to return to their homeland and to establish their independent state.
He also stressed his sympathy with the reality of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, and stressed that the Embassy continues contacting with UNRWA, to ask about the real needs and requirements of refugees and the possibility of Malaysia's contribution in order to reduce the suffering of the refugees in Lebanon.
The visiting delegation was presented at the end of the meeting, a group of studies and editions from their Association, including the annual report on the reality of the Palestinian refugees and their rights in Lebanon in 2011.
At the end of the meeting also Mr. Azman, praised the role the Palestinian Association for Human Rights "witness" in their following-up the files of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, and the need to continue to highlight their suffering and to defend them in all fields of life.
