We are always talking about the miserable conditions lf the Palestinian refugees inside the camps in Lebanon. Those people are still suffering greatly from poverty and deprivation from their human and civil rights that if they have been awarded , may reduce their suffering and enable them to overcome their circumstances and conditions because UNRWA now a day starts the reconstruction process inside borj al shamale camp which funded by the UAE red crescent, the voices in the other camps are rising now, demanding the donors and UNRWA at the same time to follow the same step by rebuilding or maintain in the other camps, because we have countless numbers of houses are not suitable or fit to live in , and they may collapse in any time over the head of their inhabitants. For this reasons, a group of activists from witness association for human right have received many complaints from great number of refugees about the bad condition of their houses. So they decided to make afield study and documented some samples of these cases in order to shed light on the suffering of those people who have been living in poverty and deprivation since their asylum.
The number of people inside Rashidieh camp is about 22580 people who have been living in the same area since their asylum from Palestine, the density of population has almost reached 9100 people per square kilometer.
Lately, the urgent need has emerged to build new houses. But unfortunately the area is so limited, and the number of family members is increased day by day, so, people are obliged to build many floors without columns’ and they narrowed the roads and alleys and are deprived the sun rays to enter and illuminate their houses.
