The Conditions of Palestinian refugees from Syria to Lebanon
 
The Ambassador of the European Union in Lebanon, "Mrs. Angelina eichhorst” and by the presence of the first secretary of cooperation "Diego Escalona” and "Simon Bojsen-Moller”, met a delegation from the Palestinian Association for Human Rights "Witness” that included the Director of the Association Mahmoud Hanafi and the public relations and media coordinator Mohammed Al-Shouli and social researcher at the Association Mahmoud Dawood.
 
The delegation discussed with the ambassador the humanitarian and tragic situation of the Palestinians refugees from Syria to Lebanon, and the daily increasing numbers, despite the lack of shelters in the camps and gatherings, as well as the inability of the UNRWA and the Palestinian civil society institutions to meet their urgent needs for shelter, food, health and clothing.
 
 The delegation of "Witness” also asked the Ambassador of the European Union to increase the urgent support for UNRWA and for the Palestinian civil society organizations, to enable them to fulfill their obligations towards the displaced Palestinians people from Syria and their urgent needs, as well as to stimulate the international community to take his responsibilities towards this humanitarian issue.
 
For its part, the Ambassador promised to increase their permanent support via UNRWA, and she also promised to do her best in order to motivate the ambassadors of the European states and international institutions to take their role in this regard.
